This *should* be fixed due to recent changes (r2651). This should be checked by someone else though, I don't have access to an XP system.

Non-Admin Test: Works on Vista 'for me' and fails gracefully with reasonable error message 'for all'. Thanks.

Admin Test: Works 'for me', but 'for all' fails with the same error message and does not ask for admin privileges, though I am admin.

This behavior is probably related to the "Privileged != Adminuser" problem under Vista. I'll look into this. But I need some more information: As a non-admin under Vista, can you even select the "for all" option? Because you shouln't be able to do that in the first place! Seems like the "Privileged" property (which I use to determine if you have admin rights) is not set correctly; the "Adminuser" property might work though. I'll do some testing under Windows 7, submit a patch and then you might test that again.

Installer is still running without any problems (admin/non-admin behavior as desired) under Windows 7 as of r2658-- you could now re-check the installer under Vista.

We have switched from WIX to NSIS. WIX is no longer supported. Does this issue exist for NSIS?

The error described does no longer occur (checked Windows 7, Windows XP and Windows Vista against r3339.1).
